Living the Longhorn Life Campaign
in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin

While working as a design student assistant for the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, I've worked on a broad range of projects from organizing photos and excel sheets to working on rebranding a whole campaign: The Living the Longhorn Life campaign. Through this rebranding, I realized the inner workings of an official office, experienced working and collaborating with different full-time employees and explored the official UT Austin branding. It was a long project, ranging around a month and taught me first hand about the design process of creating while working in an already well established office and finding the middle ground in-between the two.
The purpose of this campaign is to embody the student and UT employees and how they either 'live' or 'influence' the Longhorn Life. The font used, created by me called the 'Longhorn Life,' voices a playful nature while holding structure to portray how living and influencing the Longhorn Life are a way of life that holds opportunity and memorable experiences. These logos started off letter by letter, becoming a shape together later on and spreading to the creation of t-shirts, social media posts, appearing in videos and other campaigns throughout UT Austin under the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs division, which holds 9 departments of student life.
